Lead Information Security Engineer

Lead Security Architect role involves collaborating with Network & Security Engineering, Cloud Security, and Enterprise Application teams to design, build, and deliver technology solutions aligning with Mastercard policies and standards. The candidate will research risk areas, influence policy changes, and shape future security services.

• Manage diverse security consulting engagements, analyzing solution designs, commercial & open‑source software use cases, implementation plans, and network connectivity requirements.
• Analyze new and existing technologies and provide security risk recommendations aligned to Mastercard’s policies and technical standards.
• Develop system design processes, define technical requirements, create alternative analyses, and architect system solutions.
• Conduct security and threat assessments identifying risks, exposures, and mitigating controls.
• Develop concepts of operation, formal procedures for managing systems, security use cases, standard engineering processes, and workflows in a workflow management solution.

• Experience in security risk assessments and system configuration audits identifying weaknesses and non‑compliance; ability to produce formal risk assessment reports and communicate results to senior leadership.
• Strong desire to grow technical and security expertise; passion for new technologies.
• Knowledge and application of NIST, PCI‑DSS, CIS Benchmarks, and other industry standards for securing networks, hardening systems and software.
• Experience with firewalls and ACLs analyzing network connectivity and enforcing least privilege.

• Experience developing scripts and workflows to automate repeatable processes.
• Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Security certifications: ISSAP, CISSP, CISA, CISM.

• Abide by Mastercard’s security policies and practices.
• Ensure confidentiality and integrity of accessed information.
• Report suspected security violations or breaches.
• Complete mandatory security trainings.
