Position Overview
Mid‑Level Programmer Analyst at The Boeing Company located in Hazelwood, MO;
Saint Charles, MO; or Berkeley, MO. Supports the Defense Space & Security Manufacturing & Quality Systems – Precis ions Engagement Systems team.
Hybrid role with expectation to be on site three times a week (subject to change). Must reside in the St.Louis area or be willing to relocate at own expense.
Job Responsibilities- Design, develop, and execute test plans to ensure reliability and performance of multiple manufacturing and quality IT systems.
- Develop and maintain software applications that enhance manufacturing operations, ensure quality assurance, and support compliance with IT industry standards.
- Collaborate with end users to gather, analyze, and refine system requirements aligned with manufacturing and quality standards.
- Enhance, modify, and upgrade applications to improve functionality, optimize performance, and support evolving business needs.
- Investigate, document, and resolve system issues, provide technical support, and contribute to the development of training materials for end users.
- Provide rotating on‑call support to ensure availability, stability, and performance of manufacturing applications, addressing critical issues in a timely manner.
- 3+ years of professional IT experience in application development across the software lifecycle (requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, integrations, deployments, and production support).
- 3+ years of experience with backend development (Java, Spring, Oracle SQL, SQL Server).
- Experience with Java Web Full‑Stack Development and object‑relational mapping (e.g., Hibernate).
- Familiarity with Oracle tools and SQL Server database.
- Experience with Git Lab, Azure Dev Ops, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Agile and/or SAFe principles and methodologies.
- Eligibility for a Department of Defense Secret Clearance (US citizenship required).
- 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in manufacturing and shop‑floor domains and terminology.
- Experience with Data Tables, Data Tables Editor, JavaScript, and Spring Data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to collaborate with managers and subject‑matter experts across functions.
Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance is required post‑start.
