Job DescriptionThis position is responsible for supporting and maintaining Oracle and MySQL database installations for the University of Missouri System. The main responsibilities for the position include the installation, upgrading and patching of the database software; backup and restore of the databases; maintaining database replication for disaster recovery purposes; troubleshooting performance and configuration issues; maintaining and customizing database monitoring solutions; and developing and implementing standardized reproducible methods for accomplishing all the above.
The position requires participating in a 24x7 on call rotation and some off-hour work. Experience with scripting and automation are key assets for this position .

Minimum QualificationsBachelor''s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or a related field. Four or more years of experience administrating Oracle database and MySQL, including the proficient use of RMAN, Grid Control, ASM, Data Guard, and RDBMS technical tools to perform initial root cause analysis and service restoration.
Residence within the state of Missouri.
Anticipated Hiring RangeSalary Range: $53,976.00 - $86,632.00 per year, commensurate with experience.
