Position Summary:

The Product Data Specialist is responsible for supporting and maintaining accurate, complete, and well-structured product data across OSG’s digital commerce ecosystem. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that product information is precise, consistent, and up to date across all channels including our eCommerce platforms, distribution network partners, CRM, and other internal systems - supporting both customer experience and operational efficiency.

The role works at the intersection of our PIM system, ERP, and eCommerce platform, with a strong focus on data quality, pricing maintenance (list, net, discounts, and promotional pricing), data syndication, and analytical reporting.

Job Functions for a Product Data Specialist:
  • Maintain product data accuracy, maintenance, governance, and execution within our PIM by enriching attributes, managing category assignments, and ensuring all SKUs meet OSG’s data completeness standards; support syndication of product data across all channels including our eCommerce storefronts, distribution network partners, CRM, and other internal systems.
  • Support and maintain pricing across eCommerce channels and other systems, including list prices, net prices, customer discounts, and promotional pricing; ensure alignment with D365 as the pricing source of truth and resolve sync discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Validate and reconcile product and pricing data between ERP, PIM, eCommerce platform, and other connected systems; identify root causes of data inconsistencies and work directly with the relevant business teams to investigate and resolve issues.
  • Conduct regular quality audits of product and pricing data across all channels including eCommerce platforms, distribution network partners, and other internal systems - reviewing attribute accuracy, pricing consistency, images, and searchability, and driving corrections through the appropriate system of record.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, and Engineering to gather, validate, and publish product content (technical specifications, descriptions, dimensions, images, and availability); engage and coordinate with external vendors as needed to support website operations and system integrations.
  • Recommend and apply analytical methods to assess large volumes of product and pricing data, identify trends, and surface actionable insights for the eCommerce Manager and senior leadership.
  • Analyze product data to identify, inform leader, and correct inconsistencies; maintain data change logs and audit trails to support compliance, governance, and continuous improvement.
  • Prepare regular status reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly) on catalog completeness and pricing accuracy; present findings and recommendations to the eCommerce Manager and senior stakeholders to support ongoing business initiatives.
  • Stay current with PIM best practices, eCommerce platform capabilities, pricing tools, and industry trends, proactively identifying opportunities to improve data quality, operational efficiency, and automation.
  • Manage and respond promptly to data‑related questions and requests from internal teams including Sales, Marketing, IT, and the eCommerce Manager.
  • Perform general office and administrative tasks to support Digital Commerce and broader Company initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications for a Product Data Specialist:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Computer Science, or a related field.
