Position: Assistant General Manager (Cannabis Dispensary)
Location: St. Charles

Our client is seeking an Assistant General Manager for their Dispensary who will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations of the dispensary in accordance with the State, the standards set by the Company, and responsible for the overall profitability of the dispensary. The Assistant General Manager leads the dispensary staff in achieving sales goals, ensuring inventory accuracy, compliance, productivity, and great customer service.

Job Duties
  • Responsible for assisting in leading the dispensary staff in achieving sales and service goals as set forth by the company
  • Responsible for dispensary staff oversight, schedules, training and development
  • Maintain accurate records of all dispensary activities including daily cash reconciliations, patient/customer records, sales, and returns in accordance with the State and the standards set by Company
  • Understand and analyze store reporting to ensure proper inventory levels, employee productivity, and overall store profitability
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and compliance through partnership with the Inventory Manager/ Specialist
  • Serves as a resource for dispensary staff concerning products and services, policies and procedures, industry news, and changes in regulations
  • Provides superior customer service for vendors, patients/customers, and caregivers
  • Responds to all patient/customer complaints, requests, concerns, suggestions
  • Responds to all staff questions, concerns, or suggestions
  • Resolves any conflict immediately
  • Responsible for delegating tasks to staff in order to maintain a compliant and clean facility
  • Coordinates with upper management to ensure accurate information is communicated to dispensary staff
  • Manages and implements training on the POS system
Required Experience, Education and Skills
  • 5+ years retail management experience preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office, Highly Proficient in MS Excel
  • Detail-oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical and product-related information in a professional consultative manner
  • Strong business acumen including reporting and data analysis
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and persuasive skills
  • Must maintain a high level of integrity, personal motivation, and sense of urgency
  • After-hours work is required to manage sales-facing inventory and order entry
  • Experience in a fast-paced and compliance-driven environment
  • Industry experience preferred but not required
Additional Requirements
  • Must be 21 years of age or older to apply
  • Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
  • Experience managing large teams (20+) staff size is 35-55
  • Cannabis experience preferred
  • Can commute to location in 45 minutes or less
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule with no set days/ times off. Rotating days, evenings, weekdays, and weekends required.
