Skilled - Maintenance Technician

Position Title: Maintenance Technician

Wage: $25.00 per hour

Shift: 2nd

Hours: 2:30 pm – 1:00 am (Mon–Thu with possible overtime Fri)

QPS Employment Group has a great Maintenance Technician position available at a company in St. Charles, MO. This is a 2nd shift, direct hire position.

• Perform electrical, mechanical, and plumbing troubleshooting and repairs.
• Diagnose equipment issues using a variety of tools and testing equipment.
• Dismantle, repair, and adjust assemblies using blueprints and schematics.
• Lead preventative maintenance (PM) for all presses.
• Operate a broad range of shop machinery and tooling.
• Conduct building and facility maintenance as needed.
• Perform welding and cutting tasks safely and accurately.
• Work at heights using lifts as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and follow all safety protocols.
• On‑site attendance required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical or vocational schooling preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Effective communication skills.
• Required:
  
  LOTO authorization/certification.
• Preferred:
  Forklift and scissor‑lift certification.
• Must have basic math skills, ruler measurement proficiency, and own tools.
• Ability to distinguish colors for inspection and quality control.
• Ability to push, pull, kneel, reach, sit, walk, and hear.
• Stand for up to 10 hours.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
