Works with a team in an aerospace manufacturing office and plant. Degreed Engineer or equivalent experience with an emphasis in manufacturing processes. This position is very hands-on. A background in CNC machining or toolmaking is preferred. Full-time, day-shift position.
Responsibilities :
- Conceptualize manufacturing process options for CNC machining of complex structural aircraft parts
- Develop machining sequence plans and conceptual fixture designs for efficient machining of aluminum, titanium and stainless steel structural aircraft parts
- Perform research, design and development of manufacturing process including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment
- Coordinate the manufacturing launch of new/revised products
Work on, manage and lead several large projects simultaneously from start to finish
The applicant must possess good verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work with others in a team environment, and be highly self-motivated. Applicant should have a forward-thinking mindset, thrive on challenge, and be able to think “outside the box”. Strong work ethic is a must.
Requirements:
- Applicant must be a U.S. Person
- 5 years’ experience as a manufacturing engineer
- Knowledge of GD&T preferred
- Experience as a Toolmaker or CNC Machinist
