Zoltek is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support safe, reliable, and efficient operation of carbon fiber manufacturing equipment at our Missouri Research Park facility. This position is responsible for performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems, with a primary focus on mechanical systems and industrial machinery. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills, experience working in a manufacturing environment, and a commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
EssentialResponsibilities
- Follow all company safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and confined space entry procedures.
- Safely work at heights, in confined spaces, and around energized and rotating equipment as trained and authorized.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organization work area, while supporting 5S and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators when necessary.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial production equipment and mechanical systems, this includes confined space entries.
- Service and repair pumps, motors, drives, ovens, furnaces, bearings, gearboxes, and piping systems.
- Remove and install mechanical seals, bearings, couplings, and other mechanical components.
- Perform precision alignment of pumps and rotating equipment utilizing dial indicators and other precision measurement tools.
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial textile and knitting equipment used in the carbon fiber manufacturing process.
