Join Mercy St Louis Hospital Operating Room Residency! Seeking Graduate and Experienced Nurses interested in the Main OR Winter & Summer 2026 Residency Programs.
Who We Are:
The Main Operating Room is a Level 1 Trauma Center and Burn Center, providing surgical care to patients of all ages, including pediatrics. We have 27 Operating Rooms with 7 specialty teams, including general surgery, gynecologic surgery, urologic surgery, robotics, ENT, orthopedic surgery, and neurosurgery.
We have 4 state‑of‑the‑art robots offer comprehensive training to include all service lines. Our training for nurses includes orientation to both the circulating and scrub roles Residency for nurses without Operating Room Experience of fers classroom didactics, online modules, and hands‑on practice to support all learning styles during orientation.
Residency program is 5 months with one month mentorship. After residency, RN moves into a mentorship which is specialty training for their new service line.

QualificationsRequired
Education:
Nursing Degree from an accredited school.
License: Current RN license in the state of Missouri.
Certifications: BLS required.
Benefits- Day‑one comprehensive health, vision and dental coverage, PTO, tuition reimbursement and employer‑matched retirement funds for eligible co‑workers including those working 32 hours or more per pay period.
- RN Loan Forgiveness Program: up to $370 per month directly toward loan payments ($20,000 cap). Must start with Mercy within 12‑month of graduation.
- ASN to BSN Bridging Program: up to $16,000.
- BSN to MSN Bridging Program: up to $16,000.
- Annual merit increases based on performance.
