Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Nursing

St. Charles Habilitation Center, St. Louis Developmental Disabilities Treatment Centers, Department of Mental Health – State of Missouri

Alternating Monday/Thursday and every other weekend, 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm

• Administer medication and other prescribed treatments.
• Take vital signs.
• Assist with care plan activities.
• Observe and report patient conditions and behaviors.
• Participate in rehabilitation, ambulation, and transfers.
• Provide bedside care including feeding, gavage, bathing, bed making, ambulation, oral hygiene; record vitals.
• Observe patients to detect deviations from normal conditions and record/report signs and symptoms.
• Perform nursing duties such as decubitus care, tracheal care, suctioning, change of dressings, oxygen and aerosol therapy, catheterizations, bladder irrigations, instillation, douches, etc.
• Perform advanced practical nursing duties.
• Follow written and oral instructions, keep records, and make reports.

• Current license as a practical nurse in Missouri.
• No disciplinary actions within the last six months; discipline‑free for twelve months for promotion.
• Availability to work the specified schedule.

Base pay rate as indicated. Years of service adjustments, shift differentials, and other targeted salary payments are applied to total compensation subject to eligibility.
