Clinical Nurse Operating Room – Sunset Hills Outpatient Surgery Center
Key Details
- Anticipated opening of the surgery center:
November/December 2026 - Staff training will begin 6‑8 weeks prior to opening date
- Clinic hours: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Mon‑Fri - 4–10 hour shifts Monday‑Friday (start time 6:30‑7:00 AM)
- One late shift per week to finish out the day
- 5 operating rooms (ORs) and 4 GI procedure rooms
- Work will include OR and GI procedures (OR experience preferred)
- No call, holidays or weekends

Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care.
Responsibilities- Promote patient and family‑centered care in a healing environment.
- Educate patients and families about managing their illness or injury, including post‑treatment home‑care needs and medication administration.
- Participate in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Engage in professional development.
- Develop, implement, and document individualized plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team, patient, and caregiver, following established guidelines and standards.
- Proactively plan and ensure communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care.
- Use critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care.
- Assess patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population‑specific needs.
