Triage RN/LPN - Hazelwood

Location:

Hazelwood, MO (On-site)

Summary:

Seeking a dedicated full-time Telephone Triage Nurse (RN or LPN) for an Internal Medicine office. The role involves answering calls, triaging patient inquiries, making clinical decisions based on established protocols, and collaborating with physicians and nurse practitioners to deliver excellent patient care. Ideal candidates will have previous telephone triage experience, including familiarity with Electronic Medical Records, and hold a current nursing license in Missouri.

Requirements:

• Valid MO RN or LPN license
• Previous telephone triage experience or appropriate nursing background
• Formal nursing education (certification from an accredited RN or LPN program)
• Effective communication skills and dedication to patient satisfaction
• Ability to work harmoniously with healthcare team members
• Physical ability to sit for extended periods and document via EMR

Responsibilities:

• Answer and triage patient calls accurately and efficiently
• Make clinical decisions following protocols
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and patients
• Document interactions in the Electronic Medical Record
• Support patient education and care coordination as needed
