Location: St. Charles

BJC Health Care is seeking a dedicated LPN/LVN to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will provide direct patient care, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and support care plans under the supervision of RNs and physicians. You'll collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality, and compassionate care across our hospitals and care centers. Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients under the supervision of RNs and physicians
  • Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and organizational policies
  • Monitor, record, and report patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment
  • Support patient assessments and contribute to individualized care plans
  • Assist with wound care, specimen collection, catheter care, and basic diagnostic procedures
  • Document all patient care accurately and promptly in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Recognize and promptly report changes in patient condition and safety concerns
  • Educate patients and families on medications, procedures, and discharge instructions
  • Follow infection prevention, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support quality outcomes and coordinated care
  • Assist with patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients and families
Required Skills
  • Medication administration and dosage calculation
  • Vital signs assessment and basic patient monitoring
  • Wound care and dressing changes
  • IV therapy and phlebotomy (as permitted by state scope of practice)
  • Catheter care and specimen collection
  • Basic life support and emergency response skills
  • Electronic health record (EHR/EMR) documentation

  • Patient and family education techniques
