Job Summary

The Quality Systems Administrator is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the laboratory's ISO/IEC 17025 management system. This role works with laboratory personnel to maintain relevant documents and processes and leads continuous improvement activities to ensure compliance and effectiveness.

Job Description

Objectives & Responsibilities

  • Develop procedures, work instructions, templates, and forms/records to ensure processes meet quality standard requirements.
  • Collaborate with laboratory personnel to create and revise documents to maintain system compliance and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate and lead the implementation of improvements.
  • Train personnel on the management system and communicate changes.
  • Lead and manage the internal audit process.
  • Manage information and requirements in the ISO/IEC 17025 registrar portal.
  • Perform periodic audits of testing processes for documentation thoroughness and record accuracy.
  • Review management system documents for relevance and suitability.
  • Maintain customer‑specific requirements.
  • Maintain personnel training records and competence matrix.
  • Maintain the corrective action database.
  • Monitor performance metrics/milestones and create reports for management.
  • Support company accreditation activities as they pertain to the laboratory.
  • Perform other job‑related and supportive activities as required.

Associate’s or 2‑Year Degree

Certifications

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to understand requirements in external standards.
  • Good understanding of personal computers in the workplace and associated software, such as Microsoft Windows and Office.
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint, Jira, and Tortoise SVN, a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal skills to work effectively with others and as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage workload to meet or exceed deadlines.
  • Detail‑oriented and effective follow‑up skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
