Job Summary
The Quality Systems Administrator is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the laboratory's ISO/IEC 17025 management system. This role works with laboratory personnel to maintain relevant documents and processes and leads continuous improvement activities to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
Job Description
Objectives & Responsibilities
- Develop procedures, work instructions, templates, and forms/records to ensure processes meet quality standard requirements.
- Collaborate with laboratory personnel to create and revise documents to maintain system compliance and effectiveness.
- Coordinate and lead the implementation of improvements.
- Train personnel on the management system and communicate changes.
- Lead and manage the internal audit process.
- Manage information and requirements in the ISO/IEC 17025 registrar portal.
- Perform periodic audits of testing processes for documentation thoroughness and record accuracy.
- Review management system documents for relevance and suitability.
- Maintain customer‑specific requirements.
- Maintain personnel training records and competence matrix.
- Maintain the corrective action database.
- Monitor performance metrics/milestones and create reports for management.
- Support company accreditation activities as they pertain to the laboratory.
- Perform other job‑related and supportive activities as required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Ability to understand requirements in external standards.
- Good understanding of personal computers in the workplace and associated software, such as Microsoft Windows and Office.
- Working knowledge of SharePoint, Jira, and Tortoise SVN, a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal skills to work effectively with others and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage workload to meet or exceed deadlines.
- Detail‑oriented and effective follow‑up skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication.
