Assistant Manager

Battery Outfitters Inc seeks an Assistant Manager to support daily store operations in a fast-paced, customer-focused battery retail environment. This role assists the Store Manager with staff scheduling, coaching, and performance, while leading by example on the sales floor. Responsibilities include providing expert guidance on automotive, commercial, marine, powersports, and household batteries, overseeing testing and installation services, managing inventory and merchandising, and ensuring store standards and safety procedures are met.

The Assistant Manager helps drive sales, solves customer problems, and supports training and development for team members.

Responsibilities

• Support Store Manager with daily retail operations and staffing
• Lead by example on the sales floor delivering excellent customer service
• Advise customers on appropriate battery and power solutions
• Oversee battery testing, installation, and related services
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and coaching store associates
• Create and manage staff schedules to meet business needs
• Monitor inventory, merchandising, and stock replenishment
• Maintain store appearance, safety, and operational standards
• Resolve customer issues and escalate complex problems as needed
• Track sales performance and support sales initiatives and promotions
