Schaeffer Marketing Group is entering its 50 th year in the manufacturers rep business. As we continue to grow, come be a part of our team! We are seeking a self-motivated outside sales professional to sell electrical and/or lighting products to distributors, specifiers, contractors, and end users. Seasoned outside sales candidates are preferred, but candidates with less experience will be considered.

This is a full-time salaried position.

The successful candidate will be required to
:

• Travel the assigned territory on a regular and consistent basis to develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers
• Make end user calls independently and with distributors
• Demonstrate technical and product knowledge to assist customers in product selection – can train a qualified sales candidate
• Close sales and achieve sales goals
• Provide training and educational seminars to distributors, engineers, and contractors
• Attend and exhibit at local conventions and product shows
• Use CRM system to log sales activities and capture opportunities
• Act in an ethical and professional manner

Qualifications:

• Sales or lighting experience is required
• Electrical industry experience is preferred
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred
