Business Development Manager - Discovery Services

Are you a results‑driven business developer who thrives on building relationships and uncovering new opportunities? In this role, you will spearhead the growth of our Discovery Services portfolio within an assigned territory, driving revenue and expanding our impact across the drug discovery industry.

• Maintain responsibility for sales of Eurofins Discovery services, meeting sales and revenue growth targets for the specified territory.
• Develop and maintain high‑level client relationships through regular face‑to‑face meetings.
• Provide recommendations and feedback for business development and operational strategy.
• Collaborate with sales and operations teams to drive business.
• Maintain a high level of technical and application competence and utilize this knowledge to drive business; promote and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Provide feedback and analysis to operations to improve or adjust marketing strategies.
• Travel approximately 10–20% outside of the assigned territory.
• Log client meetings and significant calls in the CRM and maintain accurate records.
• Create and update key‑account plans for quarterly presentations to Eurofins Discovery leadership.
• Complete expense reports per policy.
• Provide monthly forecast of business by the due date specified, utilizing tools defined by sales management.

• B.S. in Pharmacology, Biology, or a related Life Science degree with demonstrated experience selling drug discovery services; consideration for a pharmacologist with an MBA.
• Excellent knowledge of the pharmaceutical drug discovery process.
• Experience in analyzing and acting on global business trends to drive regional business development activities.
• Ability to discuss scientific services and research applications with pharmaceutical and biotech researchers and translate technical capabilities into customer solutions.
• Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
• Experience growing existing accounts and expanding business relationships.
• Strong prospecting, negotiation, closing, organization, and communication skills.
• Existing relationships within the Boston/Cambridge biotech and pharmaceutical ecosystem are highly valued.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Ability to do occasional international travel.
• Can work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship.
