Process Chemistry Researcher

General Responsibilities

Assist in the synthesis of products by following protocols provided by senior chemists. Perform and assist with chemical analysis and evaluate results. Maintain detailed and accurate records of experiments and findings. Work closely with cross-functional teams and communicate results to stakeholders. Adhere to the Novus Integrity System (NIS) and all policies and procedures related to position assignment.

Experience Requirements

A bachelor's degree in chemistry or chemical engineering is required, and 2+ years of laboratory experience performing synthetic work, or a master's degree with 0-2 years of experience in synthetic/process chemistry.

Skills Requirements

Strong knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry. Proficiency in laboratory techniques like FTIR, HPLC, and Rotoevaporation. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and organization skills. Attention to detail.

Other Essential Skills and Physical/Safety Requirements

Proficient in Microsoft Office platforms. Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, twist, reach with arms or hands, write & type. Ability to see, speak, hear, and smell. Must have depth perception, color vision, and peripheral vision. Must be able to use personal protective equipment as required by OSHA standards. Able to work around chemicals safely.

Cross-Functional Relationships

Work closely with analytical chemistry, formulation, and biochemistry groups.
