Salary: Entry rate of $17.04 to $20.87 per hour depending on experience
Reports To: Director of Safety and Security/Building Administration
Typical Work Schedule (May vary depending on location)192 Day work calendar working an extended school year with Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer breaks off. Monday to Friday. 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM. Some nights may be required for events/student activities.

Job SummaryTo help maintain a safe, secure, and orderly environment for students, staff, and visitors. The security guard supports the school community by monitoring campus activity, responding to and reporting incidents, and reinforcing district policies and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities Campus Safety & Supervision- Monitor entrances, hallways, cafeterias, parking lots, and school grounds.
- Greet and check in visitors according to District procedures.
- Assist with supervision during arrival, dismissal, passing periods, and lunch.
- Maintain a visible, approachable presence to deter unsafe or disruptive behavior.
- Respond quickly and appropriately to altercations, disturbances, or emergencies.
- Communicate clearly with administration, staff, and local authorities as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents and security-related activities.
- Collaborate with administrators and staff to uphold a safe and respectful environment.
- Assist with safety drills and event security.
- Promote positive relationships with students and serve as a role model.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a school environment preferred.
Skills: Strong communication, conflict de-escalation, and observation skills.
Knowledge: Familiarity with safety procedures, emergency response, and radio communication.
Abilities: Work effectively with students, remain calm under pressure, and adapt to a changing environment.
