Electrician
LocationSt. Charles, MO
Position SummaryAn Electrician will assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in custom trailers, displays, and vehicles. This proficient level position is perfect for someone looking to further their career in electrical work within the manufacturing industry. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in the electrical field with experience in 120/240 single phase, 208 3‑phase and 440 3‑phase.
Job Responsibilities- Assist in the installation of electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in custom trailers, displays, and vehicles.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
- Perform proficient level electrical troubleshooting and repairs under the minimal supervision of experienced technicians.
- Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
- Participate in training programs to enhance electrical skills and knowledge.
- Document work performed and parts used for accurate record‑keeping.
- Provide guidance and support to Electrical team members.
- Stay updated with the latest electrical codes, standards, and industry best practices.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Associate’s degree in Electrical or a similar field, 2 years Vocational High School Electrical program and/or completion of an Electrical Certification program.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the electrical field and/or equivalent education or 4000–8000 hours on‑the‑job training and/or 3‑year successful completion in an Electrical Apprentice Program education requirements.
- Intermediate understanding of electrical principles, concepts and NEC code book.
- Basic knowledge of wiring methods and proper wire sizing.
- Basic ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Basic understanding of concepts of circuit protection and multimeters.
- Knowledgeable with the fundamentals of AC circuit theory.
- Proficiency in using electrical testing and diagnostic tools.
- Must possess the following skill sets:
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Read tape measure and protractor
- Use air and electric hand tools
- Perform conduit bending, knots and basic rigging
- Wire branch and feeder circuits
- Install lighting and receptacle outlets
- Ability to solve complex issues and learn the job quickly
- Must be safety conscious with good housekeeping skills.
- Strong attention to detail and precision.
- Must effectively communicate and present interpretations of work.
- Maintain a positive attitude towards team members and other departments.
- Displays initiative to learn and to take on more responsibilities.
- Ability to learn to operate forklift.
- Ability to work successfully within a team and as an individual contributor.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Must demonstrate a consistent and stable work history, along with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Enrollment in an Electrical Apprenticeship Program. 4 years of experience in the electrical field with experience in 120.
