Laborer

Join our team as a Laborer, where you will play a crucial role in remodeling trailers used on construction sites, schools, and for disaster relief. This position requires flexibility in job functions and a willingness to engage in hands-on work.

Responsibilities

• Remodel trailers by replacing windows, AC units, sheet metal, tile, wood panels, lights, door knobs, doors, and plumbing for sinks and toilets.
• Paint both the interior and exterior of trailers, including wood panels, bumpers, hitches, and wheels.
• Perform framing, hang doors, and install vinyl flooring or carpet squares.
• Repair trim, wood, and perform paint touch-ups on the exterior of trailers.
• Set up trailers with furniture according to customer preferences, which may include assembling desks, chairs, and installing TVs and coffee stations.
• Clean trailers upon return from sites and maintain the facility by cleaning grounds, the shop, and the office.
• Assist in various tasks around the facility as needed.

Essential Skills

• Experience with hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• 2-3 years of experience in construction or manual labor.
• Carpentry skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in remodeling, carpentry, or related fields is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work with minimal guidance.
• Strong soft skills and teamwork ability.
• Flexibility to adapt to different daily tasks.

Work Environment

The work is primarily outdoors, with exposure to varying weather conditions. Contractors will be working inside and outside trailers, performing tasks that require physical effort, such as cleaning and component repair. The main office trailer is equipped with heat and AC for comfort.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Charles, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
