- Permanent Full Time
- Monday to Friday, 76 hours per fortnight, 9-day fortnight
- $73,569 per annum (LGIA Stream B Level 5 + Site) + Superannuation
- Location – Mt Morgan

Council is looking for two proactive and reliable Plant Operator/Labourers to join our Rural Operations team!
You’ll carry out general civil construction labouring tasks, including pipe laying, concreting, levelchecking, bitumen/road works, along with operation of a pneumatic-tyred road roller (over 8 tonne). The role involves working across rural sites, travelling between locations, and supporting a close-knit team delivering essential regional infrastructure.
This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).
What we are looking for- Extensive experience operating a Road Roller, working in rural areas and an unrestricted “MR” Class licence (HR desirable).
- Demonstrated attention to detail, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, report and resolve safety hazards to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
- Certificate of Competency and hands on experience operating mobile plant
- Experience utilising hand tools to complete construction tasks (spanner, wire brush, level, measuring tape, line sprayer etc)
