This is a full-time on-site position for a Housing Specialist located in Greater St. Louis. The Housing Specialist will provide support in ensuring access to affordable and suitable housing for individuals and families. Responsibilities include conducting case management, coordinating social housing placements, assisting in property management, and collaborating with social service providers to meet clients' housing needs. Additionally, the role involves maintaining ongoing relationships with housing partners and advocating for clients' access to stable living arrangements.
Qualifications- Strong background in Case Management and Social Services to effectively support individuals and families
- Proficiency in Social Housing and Affordable Housing practices to develop sustainable housing solutions
- Experience with Property Management to oversee housing logistics and ensure compliance with regulations
- Ability to advocate for clients and forge partnerships with housing providers
- Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage multiple cases efficiently
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field
- Experience working with individuals facing mental health or substance use challenges is highly preferred
