Under the general guidance of the medical director, the Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with diseases and adverse health conditions following the written guidelines approved by the department. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) with inpatient and/or outpatient endocrine experience is preferred.
The role is primarily outpatient based, with approximately 25% of the time dedicated to inpatient coverage, all under supervision of board certified endocrinologists.

- Typical hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

St. Clair Shores office; additional outpatient sites:
St. Clair Shores, Beverly Hills, Farmington Hills, Southfield, Troy; inpatient coverage primarily at Corewell Beaumont Hospital – Grosse Pointe - APP will hold privileges across all Southeast Michigan Corewell Health hospitals, as needed
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a wide range of endocrine disorders in both outpatient and inpatient settings
- Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations and assessments
- Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans
- Manage endocrine‑related medications, including diabetes therapies (insulin, GLP-1 receptor agonists), thyroid, adrenal, pituitary disorders, and hormone replacement & management (testosterone, estrogen, cortisol)
- Interpret diagnostic studies and data, including continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) data, laboratory testing and glucose trends, thyroid pathology and malignancy reports
- Participate in structured onboarding and training program to support transition into specialty endocrinology practice
- Perform prior authorizations, complete medication refills, and answer messages in both outpatient and inpatient settings
- Collaborate closely with supervising endocrinologists and interdisciplinary care teams
- Support patient communication needs, including prescription refills, lab result review, and responding to office patient and inpatient inquiries
- Maintain effective communication with physicians, nursing staff, administrative teams, patients, and families
- Master’s Degree in Nursing OR a Master’s in Physician Assistant studies
- 1–3 years’ experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in an endocrinology setting (preferred)
- State of Michigan Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant license required
- AHA/ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
