Maintenance Technician

Full-Time Maintenance Technician – L'Anse, MI

A local L'Anse employer is looking to add a skilled maintenance technician to their team! This is a full-time, hands-on role for someone who enjoys keeping equipment running safely and smoothly.

• Start up equipment before each shift
• Keep machinery and tools operating safely
• Perform preventative and routine maintenance
• Troubleshoot and make mechanical adjustments
• Maintain loaders and ensure safe operation
• Keep detailed records of repairs and maintenance
• Order parts and supplies as needed
• Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout
• Help keep the maintenance area clean and organized
• Work overtime or occasional weekends when needed

• 2+ years of maintenance experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with welding, electrical, hydraulic, and control systems
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Familiarity with safe equipment practices
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work at heights, and stand for long periods
• Comfortable working in varying temperatures, dusty/noisy environments, and wearing required PPE
• Team-oriented with solid communication and leadership skills
