Tax Manager or Tax Senior

This is an opportunity to work closely with business owners and other clients across a broad range of tax matters, including tax planning, compliance, research, and advisory services

You will have the opportunity to take ownership of client relationships, work through complex tax issues, and play an important role in developing less-experienced team members.

Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned tax clients and build strong, long-term relationships.

Advise clients on a broad range of tax matters, including planning, research, compliance, and general business activities.

Manage federal and state tax compliance engagements and coordinate client needs throughout the engagement process.

Prepare and review complex individual and business tax returns.

Analyze tax situations and identify opportunities for tax planning and optimization.

Research complex tax issues and clearly communicate recommendations and conclusions to clients and internal team members.

Manage multiple engagements while balancing deadlines, priorities, and client expectations.

Stay current with changes in tax law, regulations, and industry practices.

Provide guidance and mentorship to team members.

Help team members understand expectations, strengthen their technical skills, and identify opportunities for professional development.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
.

4+ years of relevant tax experience
.

Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws.

Solid understanding of general accounting principles.

Familiarity with FASB and Internal Revenue Code requirements.

CPA or EA designation, or actively working toward one.

Ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly and effectively to clients and colleagues.

Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and tax/accounting software.

1+ years of management, supervisory, or mentoring experience

Experience managing client relationships and tax engagements.

Experience with tax planning and advisory services.

Experience working with business owners and closely held businesses.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
