Teacher 1 (Adult Basic Education/GED)

Develops lesson plans to address those needs to include individualized training for assignments. Provides necessary instruction for Adult Basic Education/General Education Development program. Administers necessary tests. Evaluates inmates provides necessary direction for inmates. Maintains discipline and/or security of instructional area. Attends education meetings, unit staff meetings and in-service training. Prepares required records and reports. Maintains inventory and orders supplies and materials needed.

Performs other education and/or related duties as requested by education administrators. Performs other duties as required on assignment.

Applicants who possess a Baccalaureate degree & an Adult Educator four year permit and/or are eligible to receive a four-year permit from the Ohio Department of Education, may be considered. Any current Teacher Certificate appropriate grade level to be assigned;
Teacher 1, 71721, must also have baccalaureate degree or less;
