Field/Service Technician
Primary Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot EFM devices related to natural gas processes such as compression, dehydration, measurement, transmission, and storage.
- Perform setup and calibration of new devices during construction of production facilities.
- Perform scheduled and non‑scheduled calibration of all EFM devices, document calibration, and verify data.
- Pull gas samples and upload results into RTU.
- Use equipment such as laptop computer, multimeter, instrument communicator, device software, and documenting process calibrator to troubleshoot.
- Develop and maintain interactive work relationships to accurately and effectively complete job responsibilities.
- Direct, advise, instruct, inspect, support or assist contractors and employees in design, construction, operation and maintenance of assets.
- Ensure regulatory and compliance standards are met.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of electrical and electronic theory and principles.
- Knowledge of ABB Totalflow, Rosemount 4088, ABB 266C, FMT

7. - Knowledge of pneumatic relay logic and control.
- Knowledge of measurement devices (pressure, flow, temperature, moisture, vibration, speed, density, level) and ability to calibrate them.
- Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements.
- Ability to use computers, iPhone, iPad and office equipment.
- Ability to pass electrical, electronic, and pneumatic equipment troubleshooting tests.
- Ability to operate diagnostic equipment (multimeter, calibrator, oscilloscope, etc.).
- Ability to interpret installation specifications, one‑line drawings, cable/conduit schedules, wiring schematics, instrument drawings, and component diagrams.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw conclusions.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Ability to complete projects assigned, with necessary follow‑up, within deadlines.
- High School or GED;
Associates Degree in technical field preferred. - Minimum 2 years of oil and gas and gas measurement experience.
Climb vessel ladders and work at heights up to 25 feet; walk, stand, and navigate uneven rural terrain. Walk or stand for extended periods in all types of terrain and work in environments of extreme temperatures (heat, cold, dust, etc.). Manually open and close valves and other equipment; use pipe wrenches and other applicable oilfield tools. Exposure to loud noise, occupational hazards, or outdoor elements.
Climb stairs, ladders, and walkways associated with oilfield environment. Require vision, hearing, and fine motor skills. Stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Lift up to 50 lbs regularly, 75–100 lbs occasionally.
Professional office environment and field environment. Use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, iPads, iPhones, laptops, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines. Field environment involves dust, debris, and varying weather conditions.
Position Type and Expected HoursFull‑time hourly non‑exempt. Days and hours vary due to workload and company needs.
TravelFrequent travel expected.
Licensing and Vehicle Operation RequirementsMaintain an active and valid driver’s license per all applicable laws. Operate company vehicle for work-related travel and field operations; meet company driving eligibility standards, driving record, safety policies and traffic regulations.
