Student IT Support Specialist (Eastern CAMPUS

Ohio University is hiring a Student IT Support Specialist to work on its Eastern Campus in St. Clairsville, Ohio. The role involves providing technical assistance by troubleshooting software and hardware issues, managing IT support tasks such as help desk support, classroom operator support, and event technology assistance to ensure smooth technological operations across the campus.

• Provide help desk support including answering calls, entering work orders, and resolving simple issues.
• Check out, deliver, inventory, test, and clean computer equipment.
• Ensure classroom technology is powered, connected, and functioning; distribute and collect class materials.
• Operate and troubleshoot computer, audio, and AV equipment during campus events.
• Use communication tools such as Microsoft Teams to log classroom technical issues.
• Required to be enrolled in classes at Ohio University or other post-secondary/secondary institution and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
• Basic knowledge of office software and communication tools is necessary.
• Part‑time, student hourly position paying $11.00 per hour.
• Flexible work hours including mornings and evenings as needed.
• Limited supervisory responsibilities and routine problem‑solving under supervision.
