Description:

Administers nursing care within the scope of practice under direction of a registered nurse or licensed physician.
Performs a variety of nursing duties including administering oxygen, applying sterile dressings, inserting catheters, and monitoring patients during procedures.
Provides assistance during physical exams, treatments, and laboratory tests.
Observes and documents patient conditions, medication reactions, and treatment responses.
Maintains medication accountability records and prepares related reports.
Provides direct care and assistance with personal grooming, hygiene, and daily living activities.
Assists physicians and responds to patient alarms.
Orders medication and medical supplies, and performs clerical tasks such as answering phones and filing.
Cleans and restocks medical equipment and supplies.
Provides guidance and training to lower-level direct care staff.
Participates in team meetings and in-service training programs as assigned.
