We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Infection Prevention & Control Nurse to support our Ohio skilled nursing and assisted living communities. This part-time position is responsible for overseeing infection prevention and control programs while traveling between multiple facilities to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and oversee infection prevention and control programs across multiple facilities
Conduct infection surveillance, tracking, trending, and reporting
Monitor healthcare-associated infections and implement interventions to reduce infection rates
Ensure compliance with CDC, CMS, Ohio Department of Health, and OSHA infection control standards
Provide education and training to staff on infection prevention practices, isolation procedures, hand hygiene, and PPE use
Conduct infection control rounds, audits, and quality improvement initiatives
Assist with outbreak investigations and coordinate response efforts
Maintain required documentation and prepare reports for regulatory surveys
Collaborate with facility leadership, medical providers, and interdisciplinary teams to promote resident safety
Stay current on infection prevention guidelines and recommend best practices
Current Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing
Infection Prevention certification (CIC) preferred or willingness to obtain
Previous long-term care, skilled nursing, or assisted living experience preferred
Strong knowledge of CDC, CMS, and Ohio Department of Health infection control regulations
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities across multiple locations
Valid driver s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance required
