This role requires Florida AHCA Clearinghouse background screening.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive wound assessments including wound measurements and documentation.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with wounds.
- Perform wound care treatments, including dressing changes, debridement and other necessary interventions.
- Educate patients and their families on wound care, preventions strategies, and overall health maintenance.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of wound care treatments and adjust plans as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Stay current with best practices, evidence based protocols and new technologies in wound care.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of wound care policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance and support to nursing staff and other healthcare professionals on wound care management.
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida.
- Wound Care Certification strongly preferred.
- Skilled Nursing Experience preferred.
- 2+ years of Experience in Wound Care preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous professional development.
- Work may involve exposure to infectious diseases, hazardous materials and other conditions found in healthcare setting.
- Must be able to lift and move patients as needed.
- May require standing, walking & moving for extended periods.
