We are seeking an Accounting and Tax Specialist to join our team and support key tax compliance and accounting functions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on detail, enjoys working with numbers, and is comfortable navigating multi‑state tax filings, property tax processes, and daily accounting operations.
The Accounting and Tax Specialist is responsible for managing sales and personal property tax filings, processing payments, maintaining accurate tax records, and assisting with general accounting functions. The ideal candidate is organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working across multiple systems and deadlines.
Location Requirement:
This is a full‑time,
on‑site position based in our St. Cloud, MN office
, with a consistent Monday–Friday schedule. Candidates must be able to work in the office five days a week.
- Conduct sales tax research and maintain compliance across jurisdictions.
- Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual sales tax returns across multiple jurisdictions.
- Maintain and update tax exemption documentation and sales tax matrices.
- Process personal property tax renditions, assessments, and payments, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Reconcile and track title and sales tax data for reporting and compliance.
- Process daily credit card payments and related accounting entries.
- Assist with ACH setup, address changes, and lease funding processes.
- Support special projects including sales tax audits, compliance reviews and system updates
- Provide backup coverage for receptionist and phone duties.
- Maintain organized digital records in Laserfiche and other systems.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, tax compliance, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of sales and personal property tax regulations is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.

This is a full‑time hourly position. The expected wage range for this role is $24 to $28 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. This position is also eligible to participate in our profit‑sharing program, based on individual and company performance.
