Staff Accountant – Whitefish Search Partners Client

Whitefish Search Partners is partnering with a growing manufacturing organization to hire a Staff Accountant who will play a key role in general ledger management, month‑end close, and financial reporting. This role is ideal for someone who is detail‑oriented, analytical, and eager to grow within a high‑impact finance team.

• Own key general ledger activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Support month‑end close and prepare financial reporting for leadership
• Assist with audits, internal controls, and regulatory compliance
• Perform financial analysis, including margin and trend analysis
• Support budgeting and partner with cross‑functional teams
• Identify process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and system utilization
• Leverage Excel to improve automation and reporting
• Contribute to fixed asset accounting, insurance schedules, and special projects

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 1–3+ years of accounting experience (manufacturing preferred)
• Experience with month‑end close and reconciliations
• Strong analytical skills and working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• High proficiency in Excel
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Continuous improvement mindset and desire to grow responsibility over time
