Payroll & Billing Manager
Cor-Vanama Solutions d.b.a. Consumer Directions Inc. provides the payroll and administrative support to individuals who are part of various Minnesota Department of Human Services programs with the goal of the participant remaining in their home with the paid assistance of their family members and friends. Our passion is to help families navigate their journey through self-directed services.
This is a full-time, in office, position in our Accounting Department at our St. Cloud location. The job will require someone who is compassionate and dedicated to the individuals and families we support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborates well with teammates, and has some managerial experience. This role plays a vital part in ensuring our payroll and billing are submitted timely and accurately to all payers.

Primary duties include overseeing our payroll and billing team, billing the State of Minnesota, accounts receivable, and similar tasks. This individual should be a self-motivator who enjoys collaborating and providing exceptional coaching to their team.
Core ResponsibilitiesThe position will be assigned, but not limited to, the following duties:
- Assist and support day to day operations of payroll and billing team.
- Ensure all billing files are electronically uploaded and sent to the State of Minnesota.
- Assist and support billing team with troubleshooting unpaid claims.
- Assist and support payroll team with assessing payroll corrections or discrepancies.
- Review outstanding balances and trends.
- Make Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger entries into our Payroll and Billing Software.
- Audit and reconcile Payroll and Accounts Payable entries.
- Assist in reporting, audits, and compliance requests.
- Assist and support in quarterly and year-end financial tasks and review.
- Requires strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel for spreadsheet design and use.
- Proficient computer and phone knowledge.
- Familiarity of Microsoft programs and data entry skills.
- Exceptional customer service.
- Experience in a managerial role.
- Experience in billing or payroll processing.
- Strong organizational/time management skills.
- Ability to work independently, think outside the box and problem-solve.
- Willingness to learn new software systems and skills.
- The motivation to help team and department reach quarterly and yearly goals.
- Ability to adapt in an evolving industry and cooperative environment.
- This position may be completed sitting or standing.
- This position may infrequently require lifting up to 20 lbs.
- This position may require local travel to our second office location or training venue.

Bookkeeping, billing, or some accounting experience.
- Upon hire, all candidates must pass a state-run background check and complete fingerprinting.
- Upon hire, candidates will be subject to a driving record check and must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Salary Range: $24-$27/hour; 40 hours a week
