Construction Representative (Part‑time)

Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc. (SEH) is a 900+ employee‑owned engineering and construction company seeking a Construction Representative to support our local construction services team.

• Assist local construction services team at a part‑time basis.
• Monitor construction activities on transportation, civil, and municipal infrastructure projects to ensure compliance with approved plans and specifications.
• Document daily field and inspection activities, including material sampling, testing, and quantity measurements.
• Assist with pre‑construction meetings, progress updates, and conflict resolution sessions; prepare and negotiate construction change orders.
• Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and SEH team members.
• May assist in development of proposals, estimating project budgets and schedules, and completing constructability reviews.
• Travel to team meetings, client consultations, and on‑site observations as needed.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous experience in theli>
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and navigate rough terrain on construction sites.
• Willingness to travel for team meetings, client consultations, and on‑site observations.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

• Possession of applicable DOT technical certifications or ability to obtain within six months.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with AutoCAD or Micro Station.
• Familiarity with Blue Beam software.

• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Position requires an MVR records check verifying a valid driver's license and driving record acceptable by SEH’s Driving Program.

Base compensation is expected to be in the range of $35,000 and $45,000 based on skill set and experience. Pay is part‑time, commensurate with responsibilities.

Due to current business and operational considerations, the position is open only to candidates residing in St. Cloud, MN. Candidates willing to relocate should indicate this in their application.
