The Facility
The St. Cloud VA Medical Center is a Joint Commission-accredited facility serving Veterans across central Minnesota and beyond. Part of the Minneapolis VA Health Care System (VISN 23), the medical center provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient primary care, mental health, long-term care, and specialty services to more than 38,000 enrolled Veterans. The campus includes a 388-bed facility with state-of-the-art clinical and diagnostic resources.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care services to Veteran patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions
- Perform patient assessments, physical examinations, and develop individualized care plans
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results
- Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with established protocols
- Coordinate patient care with specialists, nursing staff, and ancillary services
- Document all patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic health record
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and peer review activities
- Provide patient education on disease prevention, wellness, and self-management
- Ensure compliance with VA clinical practice guidelines and standard operating procedures
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine (ABIM) or Family Medicine (ABFM)
- Active, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state
- Active DEA registration
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
- NPI number
- Minimum 2 years of primary care experience preferred
Schedule
- Full-Time (2 FTEs available)
- Monday – Friday, standard business hours
