Salary Range: $19.50 To $23.40 Hourly

Do you love working with young children and making a lasting impact on families? Reach-Up Inc. is looking for a compassionate, energetic Assistant Teacher to help create a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment for children in our Head Start programs.

In this rewarding role, you’ll support children’s growth and development through hands‑on learning activities, positive guidance, and meaningful family engagement. You’ll work closely with teachers, families, and support staff to help every child thrive—especially children with special needs or behavioral and mental health concerns.

• Support a positive, safe, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment
• Lead and assist with small and large group learning activities
• Build caring relationships with children and families
• Help implement positive behavior support strategies
• Collaborate with teachers on curriculum planning, home visits, and conferences
• Support children with special needs and individualized learning goals
• Participate in trainings, team meetings, and ongoing professional development
• Promote health, safety, and confidentiality at all times

• CDA required
• AA degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
• Must meet Minnesota DHS licensing requirements
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate early childhood practices
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Passion for working with diverse children and families
