Building Principals, Resident Program Supervisors

• Enrollment in final year of a state-approved teacher preparation program
• Approval from partnering university to participate in full-year residency placement
• Availability to commit to a full school year of in-person classroom residency

• Previous related experience

To create a safe and caring climate and culture in which we prepare, engage, educate, empower and inspire all learners in partnership with their surrounding community to be successful in today's and tomorrow's society. In partnership with experienced mentor teachers, the Resident Teacher will develop skills and knowledge necessary to become a highly effective educator. Through immersive, year-long classroom experience and ongoing coaching, the Resident Teacher will support student learning while contributing to a climate and culture that honors each learner's identity and potential.

The Resident Teacher will gradually assume more responsibility throughout the year while upholding the district's values of collaboration, equity, and educational excellence.
