Your OpportunityStantec is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join our North Central Community Development team.
YourKey Responsibilities
- Stormwater management, drainage, and erosion & sediment control analysis and design tasks for projects and studies, including closed/open drainage systems, environmental site design, ponds, stream restoration, flood studies, and E&SC controls.
- Provide technical guidance to the Land Development teams in areas of hydrologic, hydraulic, scour, and water quality design and analysis.
- Independently manage and perform hydrologic and hydraulic design tasks, reports, and studies.
- Assist in plan development and cost estimation.
- Maintain adherence to project schedules and milestones.
- Participate in field work as needed.
- Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling experience including but not limited to TR-55, TR-20, PC-SWMM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, Hydro
CAD, or similar. Proficient using CAD programs including AutoCAD Civil 3D. - Proficient with Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), Adobe, and Bluebeam.

- Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines, work independently, think clearly, have organized thoughts, and draw logical conclusions.
- Familiarity with CAD software including AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems software.
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- 5+ years’ experience in water resources design and analysis for Land/Civil Site Engineering.
