Position: Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer (Level 4)
Description:

Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer

This is a deployed position in the Minneapolis
- St. Paul area. (Telecommuter remote work location to be within reasonable driving distance to LM assigned suppliers as defined in agreement with manager).

* The suppliers are located in the Minnesota, but additional suppliers may be assigned as well.

* The selected candidate will be responsible for achieving total quality performance across multiple sites for strategic suppliers that produce major airframe and systems components.

* Candidate needs working knowledge background in GD&T, Inspection methods, Tooling, AS9100, AS9102. working knowledge of Six Sigma, preventive tools PDCA, PFMEA, Mistake Proofing and Gap Analysis.

* Must have knowledge and effectively apply root cause analysis, Cause Mapping, Cause & Effect diagrams, Pick Charts and, structured RCCA for effective corrective action.

* Goals are to lead the supplier through the process of developing and executing plans that ensure long term flow of defect-free products in support of LM Aero production.

* The selected candidate will be accountable for collaborating with functional organizations and leadership at the supplier sites and at LM Aero to solve technical and contractual issues, and for ensuring supplier performance is aligned with quality goals while sustaining production delivery requirements.

* Must be a US Citizen. This position supports a facility that may require special access.

Who You Are

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelors degree from an accredited college

* Ample experience with root cause and

corrective action (RCCA)

* Experience developing and maintaining Effective Customer relationship building and adapting to a highly

dynamic environment

* Experience in the fields of quality science,

quality engineering, and/or subcontract

management

* Experience with implementing supplier improvement activities

Desired

Skills:

* Major assembly or Teammate F-35 experience

* F-35 Program knowledge, including the ability

to understand F-35 engineering data packages,

including GD&T requirements, material and

process specifications, and schematics

* Familiarity with the manufacturing and

inspection techniques for one or more of the

following types of parts: metallic machined or

formed, composite laminate or bonded assemblies, air vehicle and missions systems (electronics), hydraulic or pneumatic components

* Work related experience with planning and

executing AS9102 First Article Inspection based

requirements

* Experience developing successful performance

improvement plans (e.g. return-to-green plans,

zero-defect plans, supplier excellence plans)

* Green Belt or Black Belt, CQE certification

* Demonstrated quality science expertise in one or more of the following: statistical analysis, statistical process control, sampling, six sigma, FAI, PPAP, PFMAE process auditing or validation, root cause analysis and corrective action validations, and supplier quality management

* Experience interacting with government

customers (JPO, DCMA, DoD)

* Excellent interpersonal skills needed for

collaboration, communication, and presentations

at working and leadership levels

Security Clearance Statement:
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years
