Engineer​/Project Manager, Water​/Wastewater

Forge ahead with WSB. We are seeking a Project Engineer or Project Manager to add to our growing team. This role provides an amazing opportunity to join a dynamic company working on groundbreaking projects across the US.

• Lead project management and process design for new water/wastewater treatment facilities, lift stations, review existing facilities, prepare reports for proposed equipment/systems upgrades and replacements, and present findings to clients and regulatory agencies.
• Conduct business development and develop client relationships in the water/wastewater industry.
• Independently evaluate, select, and apply various treatment technologies, equipment, and processes to optimize performance or ensure compliance with environmental regulations, and apply the results to plant configurations.
• Develop specifications and drawings such as process flow diagrams (PFDs) and instrument diagrams (P&IDs) for senior drafting technicians.
• Assess impact of changing DOH, EPA, and MPCA regulations for specific client needs, and travel to client and vendor locations for design reviews, field verification, proposal presentations, and business development activities.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 4+ years of experience in water and/or wastewater engineering in evaluating, planning, designing, and constructing municipal and industrial treatment facilities, lift stations, wastewater conveyance, and water distribution systems.
• 3 years of water or wastewater engineering project experience.
• PE license or the ability to obtain one within 6 months.
• Strong understanding of the construction industry, especially construction materials testing and special inspection services.
• Interest in project management—tracking scope, schedule, quality, and budget.
• Interest in business development—identifying, attracting, and securing a new, diverse client base.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains associated with construction projects.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
