Job Description The Camera Operator is responsible for capturing live game action, fan engagement moments, and in- stadium content for video board displays, live streams and digital platforms. This role works closely with the production team to deliver high-quality, engaging visuals that enhance the game-day experience for at-home viewers. Camera Operators must be comfortable operating broadcast or video cameras in a fast-paced, live environment while following direction from the production director.

The Rox have a historically reliable and top-of-the-line broadcasting team winning multiple league awards for their high-quality broadcasting service. The Northwoods League has over 400 alumni who have gone on to play Major League Baseball. The St. Cloud Rox are an industry leader in fan support, community engagement, staff development, along with consistently creating a ballpark environment that is incredibly entertaining and fun for fans and staff.
** RESPONSIBILITIES*
* ● Completes camera operator training administered by the Rox
● Captures live shots of the game action
● Captures fan engagement activities between innings
● Follows shot framing instructions from Camera Director during the game
● Operate broadcast and/or handheld cameras during live baseball games and events
● Maintain steady, well-composed shots in a fast-paced live production setting
● Assist with setup, teardown and basic maintenance of camera equipment
● Communicate clearly with the production team via headset during games
● Ensure all content aligns with team branding, league standards and broadcast guidelines
** QUALIFICATIONS*
* ● Basic experience operating video or broadcast cameras (live production experience preferred)
● Strong understanding of camera framing, focus, and movement
● Adapt quickly to changing game situations and in-game entertainment or weather needs
● Represent the organization professionally while working in fan-facing areas
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Ability to take direction and make quick adjustments in a live, fast-paced environment
● Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on the team schedule
● Reliable, punctual, and professional in a live event setting
