Product Demonstrator Part Time

Responsibilities

• Complete in-store food and non-food demonstrations.
• Acquire and maintain knowledge of products represented.
• Prepare, serve, and break down product, equipment, and supplies.
• Intercept consumers and demonstrate products in a professional manner.
• Maintain a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.
• Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to consumers in a positive manner.
• Effectively communicate product features and benefits.
• Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers and knives.
• Maintain a clean, sterile and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
• Properly set up and prepare the Event Table for execution.
• Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
• Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
• Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to meet company and client objectives.
• Complete expense reports as per company policy.
• Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
• Access the internet, navigate company systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents, including Microsoft Word & Adobe PDF forms.

This role is not expected to exceed more than 25 hours per week; the company maintains discretion to change the role based on business needs.

• Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  Proficient in using and navigating personal computer or mobile device with applications and internal systems.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Local Food Handlers permit may be required.
• Physical Demands: Stand and walk all shift; use hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms (including tasks overhead up to 65 inches); talk and hear; read instructions and perform events; stoop; kneel; squat; climb or step up ladder; balance; lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds); push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden with appliances, supplies and product;
  
  prepare foods and beverages using required appliances, such as cooking utensils, knives, convection oven, coffee maker, electric fryer, microwaves; be in contact with cleaning supplies.
• Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
• Work Environment: Retail store environment with limited travel.
• Physical Appearance: Ensure a professional appearance and proper grooming; present neat, clean, appropriately groomed appearance; specific retailer dress code requirements in training documents.
