Job SummaryTo provide culturally competent and trauma focused individual and/or family therapy for our diverse population of clients receiving CTSS services. Therapists will work with our clients with emotional, behavioral, and mental health disorders within a culturally driven and trauma informed framework. Provide clinical support for non-licensed practitioners to assist in delivering culturally competent and trauma informed services to our clients.
Scope of the PositionA mental health professional or clinical trainee under close clinical supervision of a Licensed Mental Health Professional, will provide in-home/in-office psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and families. Treatment goals will be developed to promote progress and growth that are medically necessary to help the client reach an age appropriate developmental level.
Duties and Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic assessments and assessment updates to determine a client's eligibility for mental health services
- Provide psychotherapy to individuals (children 6-18) and/or families in an outpatient setting utilizing creativity and autonomy in interventions to help clients achieve and exceed goals
- Provide quality culturally and trauma focused services for clients, and assume primary responsibility for developing, writing, implementing, evaluating, and revising overall personalized individual treatment goals and plans with the collaboration of the client and the treatment team in a timely and professional manner
- Respond appropriately to crisis situations and provide support to other staff as needed including appropriate interventions for the crisis situation and follow through of the clinical supervisor's directives as needed
- Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with Credent Care staff, other practitioners, vendors, clients, interpreters, and other agency workers about any important client updates
- Encourage client relationship and regular communication, coordinate services with other health care providers, interpreter, vocational workers, etc to ensure that client receives quality service to meet their needs
- Maintain a manageable caseload and be able to sustain attention to detail
- Accurately document services and complete progress notes and submit within 72 hours in a timely and professional manner
- Complete any other required assessments, forms, and documents in a timely manner asked of by your supervisor
- Attend group/individual clinical supervision meetings/trainings
- Attend and participate in required clinical staff meetings and trainings
- Meet with supportive supervision as needed
- Ensure compliance with DHS regulations
- Ensure compliance with your specific board including keeping license valid and completing any required trainings related to your licensing board
- Complete trainings required by Credent Care in timely manner
- Possible outreach and other company projects to help promote Credent Care and the Mental Health programs
Clinical Trainee (non-licensed)
- Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Clinical Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy
- Working towards licensure as an LP, LPCC, LICSW or LMFT
- Engaging in supervision to have oversight and complete necessary requirements based on the respective board.
