Emergency Trauma Center Technician

The St. Cloud Hospital Emergency Trauma Center receives 60,000 visits per year and is the regions most comprehensive facility of its kind. We are staffed by board-certified emergency physicians and specially trained nurses who are certified in trauma care and advanced life support. We are a designated Level II Trauma Center and have 38 private patient rooms including rooms dedicated to the special needs of children trauma victims and psychiatric patients.
We provide surgical services for trauma neurosurgical oral/maxillofacial orthopedic and plastics concerns in addition to having one of the busiest stroke programs in Minnesota.
The ETC Technician is either an LPN or Paramedic and participates in the continuous observation and assessment of patient needs while reporting to the Medical Provider and/or RN. The ETC Technician utilizes standard and individualized plans of care while serving as the primary care provider for a portion of our patient population. Some duties include starting adult and pediatric IVs setting up critical care equipment and performing documentation during Trauma Code activation.
The ETC Technician will carry out delegated functions during the care of critically ill/injured patients such as application of automatic chest compression device pelvic wrap cervical collar and warming devices.
Schedule:
Full-time | 64 hours every two weeks | Onsite Day shift | 8-hour shifts | 9am-5:30pm Every other weekend (Fri-Sun) | rotating holidays
Pay and Benefits:
Starting pay begins at $25.20 per hour and increases with experience Pay range: $25.20 - $37.81 per hour $5,000 in relocation assistance for eligible candidates! Benefits:

Qualifications:
Successful completion of LPN or Paramedic program required Current LPN or Paramedic in MN Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required in 12 months
