Position Overview
CMMHC offers an opportunity to serve as a Behavioral Health Practitioner within our Crisis Mobile Team in St Cloud. This role is integral to providing community‑based mental health services to individuals experiencing a crisis. The position emphasizes a people‑first mindset, collaborative teamwork, and supports personal and professional development.
ScheduleFull‑Time Evenings: 1:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Shift Options:
Sunday – Wednesday or Wednesday – Saturday
Mandatory weekend shift
Mental Health Practitioner: starting at $22.29 per hour
Mental Health Practitioner + Bachelor’s Degree: starting at $24.69 per hour
Commensurate with experience
Shift differential:
Monday–Friday 6:30 PM–6:30 AM $2 per hour;
Saturday & Sunday 6:30 AM–6:30 PM $3 per hour;
Saturday & Sunday 6:30 PM–6:30 AM $4 per hour
- Answer the mental health crisis line and provide phone intervention and triage for referrals
- Provide mobile outreach services at clients’ homes, in the community, and in office settings
- Complete assessments and develop treatment plans
- Coordinate services with other programs and providers
- Work collaboratively with a team of Behavioral Health Practitioners
- Qualify as a Mental Health Practitioner (MHP) through 4,000 hours of experience with individuals with mental health, developmental disabilities, or chemical dependency diagnoses (which may be part‑time over several years or 2 years full time), or hold a master’s degree or other graduate degree in behavioral sciences or related fields, or hold a bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences or related fields and complete required practicum/internship of 2,000 hours
- Clear DHS background check
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Completion of agency‑provided CPR and medication training
- Kind, supportive, willing to walk clients through challenging situations
- Experience with motivational interviewing, de‑escalation techniques, and crisis intervention
