Schedule
- Full‑time overnights awake: 10:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Shift schedules:
Sunday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Saturday - Mandatory weekend shift
- Mental Health Practitioner: $20.50 – $23.00
- Mental Health Practitioner + Bachelor's Degree: $22.50 – $25.00
- Mental Health Practitioner + Master's Degree: $24.50 – $27.00
- Commensurate with experience
- Shift differential – Monday–Friday 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM: $2 per hour
- Saturday & Sunday 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM: $3 per hour
- Saturday & Sunday 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM: $4 per hour
The Behavioral Health Practitioner within our Crisis Mobile Team in St. Cloud is responsible for community‑based mental health services to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis, working under the direction of a Mental Health Professional.
Responsibilities- Answer the mental‑health crisis line and provide phone intervention and triage for referrals and services
- Provide mobile outreach services in clients’ homes, the community, and/or office
- Complete assessments and develop treatment plans
- Coordinate services with other programs and providers
- Work collaboratively with a team of Behavioral Health Practitioners
- Qualified as a Mental Health Practitioner (MHP)
- 4,000 hours working with individuals with mental health, developmental disabilities, or chemical dependency diagnoses (can be part‑time over several years or full‑time for two years)
- Hold a master’s degree or another graduate degree in behavioral sciences or related fields
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences or related fields and complete a practicum or internship or employment that (1) requires direct interaction with adults or children served, and (2) is focused on behavioral sciences or related fields (2,000 hours)
- Clear DHS background study
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Completion of agency‑provided CPR and Medication Training
- Kind and supportive, willing to walk with clients in their darkest days, making a difference and impacting recovery
- Experience with motivational interviewing, de‑escalation techniques, and crisis intervention is ideal
