Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT (R)(CT) certification for a 13-week travel contract covering day and night shifts including weekends.

Details
  • Adult acute care hospital setting, with work in outpatient, ED, and Level I Trauma environments (preferred)
  • CT scan unit performing a wide range of studies including abdomen/pelvis with and without contrast, chest, head and neck, spine and musculoskeletal, and vascular CTA
  • Special procedures include aspirations, biopsies, brain perfusion, virtual colonography, CT arthrography, drainage, and myelography
  • 3x12‑hour shifts covering a mix of day and night rotations:
    Thursday 9:00 AM–9:30 PM, Friday 9:00 AM–9:30 PM, and Saturday night 6:30 PM–7:00 AM
  • Every Friday and Saturday required; no call obligations
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Uses PACS, Toshiba/Canon equipment
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience
  • Active ARRT (R)(CT) and BLS certifications required
  • ARRT (R) preferred
  • Proficiency with starting peripheral IVs required
  • Preparation and/or administration of contrast media required
  • Experience with abdomen/pelvis, chest, head and neck, spine and musculoskeletal imaging required
  • Teaching hospital and Level I Trauma experience preferred
  • Minnesota license required if applicable
  • 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
  • First‑time travelers are welcome to apply
Additional Information
  • Candidates must reside more than 25 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
  • Former permanent employees of the facility must have been separated for at least 9 months before being eligible to return as a traveler
  • Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted for the assignment; no RTO allowed during the first 2 weeks; all RTO must be disclosed at time of submission
  • Travelers are required to work holidays as needed by the facility
  • All travelers must complete Minnesota Livescan fingerprinting in person within 48 hours of signing their contract; this is a state requirement with no exceptions and travelers are responsible for all associated travel and expenses
  • Required lab work must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
  • Travelers requesting a medical or religious vaccine exemption must submit appropriate exemption documentation with their profile
