Fasikl is an innovative medical technology company focused on delivering non-invasive, AI-driven neuromodulation solutions. Our flagship product is FDA-cleared to aid in functional limitations due to essential tremor. As we expand access to it through Medicare, commercial insurers, and direct-to-patient channels, we are seeking a Billing Specialist to support our end-to-end revenue cycle operations.

Position Overview

The Billing Specialist will be responsible for all aspects of payer billing and reimbursement, including Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurers, and self‑pay patients. This role will develop and execute billing processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and optimize collections. The ideal candidate brings strong DMEPOS billing experience, strategic thinking, and hands‑off management capability in a startup or growth‑stage healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all claims submission, follow‑up, denial management, and patient billing processes for DMEPOS services.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance in coding (HCPCS), modifiers, and payer‑specific rules across all channels (Medicare, private insurance, self‑pay).
  • Develop and refine scalable billing workflows and documentation requirements in partnership with customer service, clinical, and fulfillment teams.
  • Monitor and resolve claims denials, rejections, and delays; manage appeals processes to maximize reimbursement.
  • Manage payer enrollment, credentialing, and policy updates for DMEPOS billing.
  • Track and report on key revenue cycle metrics, including DSO, collections, aging, and denial trends.
  • Contribute to the evaluation and implementation of billing software, clearinghouses, and internal tracking tools to improve efficiency and transparency.
  • Collaborate with leadership on pricing strategy, payer contracting, and reimbursement policy changes.
  • Ensure HIPAA and CMS regulatory compliance in all billing activities.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field required.
  • 3+ years of medical billing and reimbursement experience required.
  • Deep understanding of DMEPOS billing, Medicare guidelines, and commercial insurance workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of HCPCS coding, payer rules, CMS documentation standards, and revenue cycle best practices.
  • Experience working with billing software/ERP tools.
  • Proven ability to develop processes, solve problems, and deliver operational results in a growing company.
  • High attention to detail, organizational skills, and discretion with PHI.
  • Desire to work in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in a startup, digital health, or medical device company.
  • Familiarity with payer contracting and reimbursement policy negotiation.
  • Understanding of accreditation requirements for DMEPOS suppliers.
